Introduction

Modern slavery refers to offenses such as human trafficking, slavery, servitude, and forced or compulsory labor. It manifests in several key areas:

  • Sexual exploitation of adults
  • Trafficking of adults into labor exploitation
  • Trafficking of adults into criminal exploitation
  • Trafficking of minors for sexual, criminal, or labor exploitation
  • Other forms of exploitation

Human trafficking involves recruiting, transferring, or obtaining individuals through coercion, abduction, fraud, or force for exploitation purposes. While often crossing borders, victims can also be exploited within the UK. Exploitation categories linked to trafficking include sexual exploitation, forced labor, domestic servitude, organ harvesting, child exploitation, forced marriage, and illegal adoption.

Modern slavery encompasses victims brought from overseas and vulnerable individuals within the UK forced to work illegally across various sectors.

This statement details CDLC Property Ltd’s efforts to identify potential risks related to modern slavery within our business operations and to implement measures to ensure our activities and those of our partners are free from slavery and trafficking.

We acknowledge our responsibility to take a proactive approach to prevent slavery and human trafficking. CDLC Property Ltd is fully committed to eliminating slavery and trafficking within our business and ensuring our contractors and suppliers uphold these standards.
